This hotel is located in the heart of Waikiki – only an approximate one-minute walk from famous Waikiki Beach. Rooms have lanais (balconies) and the ocean-view one-bedroom suites’ balconies are spacious. The views from the ocean view rooms are spectacular! One can see Waikiki Beach from these rooms without paying the ocean front hotel price. The rooms in this hotel are privately owned – so décor varies from room to room – but most are very nice.

The rooftop pool is delightful – and the ocean views from there are superb – as are the mountain and Waikiki city views. I have personally seen Molokai (and parts of Maui) lying serenely in the blue pacific on a clear day from the Pacific Monarch’s rooftop pool and sundeck. There’s a Jacuzzi located there also, and you can “rooftop jacuzzi under the stars” at night.

The lobby is small, but nice, and rooms have wall air conditioners. This is a very convenient location to most of Waikiki’s main restaurants and activities. This hotel is a great value.
