Hanauma Bay, located on Oahu’s East Cost is a “must-see” for every visitor to this island. This spot is perfect for snorkeling, swimming, lite-hiking or simply sunbathing. Having seen 93 countries – I can personally verify that this bay’s beauty is unsurpassed by any other in the world. It is also a marine-life conservation park – and the abundant varieties of colorful fish seen here are amazing. Over the years, Hanauma Bay has often been proclaimed Hawaii’s, the USA’s or the world’s best snorkeling location by many prominent water and sports magazines.

I am remembering now the first time I saw Hanauma Bay. As I entered the bay area I could only see glimpses of the bay below – but when I rounded the trail to begin my descent into this tropical paradise and I saw the bay in its entirety – I was amazed and astounded by its intense beauty. There were no words to describe its grandeur or my response.
