All Inclusive Hawaii Honeymoon
In an earlier post, I wrote about the charms and benefits of getting married in Hawaii. However, many people still want to get married at home with all their family and friends present, so in this post I will talk about honeymooning in Hawaii. Other companies will add a fruit basket or bottle of champagne to their product (plus a lot of mark-up), and call it a “honeymoon package”. Don’t be fooled by this. Any package can be a honeymoon package, because YOU are what makes it a honeymoon! Not the fruit basket. Call or email one of our Hawaii specialists, and we will be happy to work with you to choose the best island and Package for your honeymoon. Below I will outline the highlights of the three most popular islands to honeymoon on.
Out of all the islands, Maui is the most popular for honeymooners. It is known as the romantic isle, and is the perfect island to be with the one you love. Golden sand beaches, breathtaking vistas, vivid sunsets…what’s not to love? Maui is one of the islands my husband and I honeymooned on, and we truly had the best time! The slower island pace, where peaceful mornings melt into lazy afternoons create a certain “Maui magic”. Imagine you and your new spouse in one of our Ocean Front Cottage Rooms, waking up to a view so blue it is hard to tell where the ocean ends and the sky begins. Laze around the resort soaking up the sun, relax during your massage at the resort spa, and then enjoy a Hawaiian luau to end the day. On another day, the two of you can find yourselves snorkeling at Molokini, and you may even see a honu (sea turtle) or two! End this evening with dinner in Lahaina, only a 10-minute drive up the road from our resort. Enjoy your dinner, and then take in some shopping or live music before heading back. One of my favorite things to do in Maui, and something Andrew and I also did on our honeymoon, was to take a day and drive the Road to Hana. I can devote an entire blog post to the wonders of this drive, but picture yourselves in an open-top Jeep or convertible, as the road curves out over the Pacific, and then curls back into the rainforest. Waterfalls, exotic birds, trees laden with tropical fruits, your nostrils filling with the scent of green. Absolute paradise! On your last evening, choose between a sunset dinner cruise or the more casual sunset dinner sail. As the sun sets, take in the island of Maui from the sea, and reflect on this most charming start to your new life together.
Kauai is quickly catching up to Maui in popularity with honeymooners! Kauai is brimming with raw, natural beauty. Kauai is perfect for the adventuring couple – there is no shortage of opportunities to kayak, hike, paddleboard, zip line, snorkel or simply relax! Kauai is a sleepy island, so it is the best choice for couples who are looking to play hard during the day, and then have quiet, low-key evenings.
Oahu is still the most popular island, and I have lost count of how many honeymooners we have had here over the years. With our customizable Packages, a couple can fill their honeymoon with sightseeing, shows and excitement, or they can put together a nature-filled, slower-paced trip. Endless possibilities!
You never know, you may be back for an anniversary, because as many couples have found, not only do they fall more in love with each other, they also fall in love with Hawaii!
